Awesome! In other Willow Locke news, I’m  planning to publish the sequel to The Bright Circle, sometime this summer. The Bright Circle is a lot different in tone. It gets bigger and crazier. Basically all the tension that has been building in Starling explodes. My personal project for the summer is revising and editing the book, now in its 3rd draft or so, and bringing it out to you by the fall.

In other news, I was invited to be a part of the kindle vella project! I wrote a serial novella and posted it to the interface. If you haven’t heard of vella, it’s pretty cool! It is kind of a micro-reading platform for reading on a mobile phone. It’s a bit different as a platform but I really like the format. It’s a fun format since it matches my usual writing process. I write in small sprints, just 45 minutes or so. Then I work hard on rewriting to make sure there are no inconsistencies in the larger novel. The vella format alliates the hugeness of the novel project. I can think of my 45 minute sessions as complete, put them into the sequence and move on! It always feels satisfying to publish something, and with vella I can do that every day. Maybe there will be more inconsistencies in the finished story but I can live with that!

Vella isn’t out yet, you can read more about it here.

If you haven’t read the Brass Starling, pick it  up today and tomorrow for free! Please leave me a review if you like it! —or even if you don’t like it…..
